Pitch Feedback

After showing our pitch we were given feedback by the class. They suggested:
  • We should be careful of filming a screen as it can look very blurry.
  • We should get people who can actually play the instruments so it doesn't look fake.
  • Not filming at college as it often looks too much like a classroom.
  • We shouldn't use very much 'found footage' of riots as most of the footage must contain our own work, however a small amount may be used.
  • Health and safety must be considered when shooting the TV out of the window.
They also said:
  • Our plot idea was very original.
  • The magazine advert was a good idea as it didn't show the band but instead caught the eye with a unique style.
  • They liked the idea of everyone in the video ending up in the same space inside the television set.
  • That throwing the television from the window was a very original idea.
We also got the suggestion of using cardboard boxes as TV helmets for people in the crowd, dancing with the regular fans. Another member of the class suggested using a shot of someone trying to change the channel and flicking to different shots of the band each time the channel changes.
